About
I've had an interest in astronomy since the late 1970's and since aquiring a camp in western PA I've been busy setting up
and outfitting a roll-off roof observatory at the site. The observatory is at an altitude 1520' and has fairly dark skies
(class 3 on the Bortle Scale). Due to it's distance from home I've also equipped the observatory for complete remote operation.
Planning this involved a lot of reading on the internet and elsewhere. The construction of the observatory is documented
here.
